Re: Week 28 ~ I have mild Gestational diabetes
Glad to know that. :)

I know how serious diabetes can be, and seeing my granny injects insulin herself few times daily plus needs to monitor her blood sugar as well. Heart pain.
Re: Week 28 ~ I have mild Gestational diabetes
nope. he's type II, and its under control now under medication :)
Re: Week 28 ~ I have mild Gestational diabetes
Yup, is six times a day, but luckily is once a week only. I pricked on 2 fingers only, if possible then I wanna do all on one finger as don't really wish to mess up so many fingers. Ha ha.
Thanks Tracy, you are always so kind. :)
Hope this diabetes will leave me alone after delivered, hope really is Gestational Diabetes only. So how's Mike's condition now? I suppose not that kind of serious type which needs insulin injection.

If talk about how to find/choose hotels in Taiwan...I must say internet is the greatest  invention. However the best is Google search ...ha ha...all info can be found online, furthermore even a little motel in Taiwan, they will have their website !

Okay, how did I manage to settle accommodations in Taiwan? Normally I will search thru possible hotels/motels at the destination, but I will not book all excepts for the first night stay. We like free and easy, sorts of back-packing thus we like flexibility. However I worry that it will be hard to online at hotel to confirm the next hotel so I will prepare info by printing them out beforehand, just in case. Luckily, hotels and motels are very competitive in Taiwan, they all know clearly what customers need so every hotel/motel I stayed during this trip all provided broadband/wireless in room,  FOC.

I found this website is very useful :  http://www.easytravel.com.tw/taiwan/orderroom/

This search is very useful as you can key in check in and check out dates, location and other criterias then it will list down available hotels. Of course it can only list down those participated hotels but I found the info is good enough and sufficient. You can book hotels directly via this site too.

When click on the hotel picture, it will show details. I like most the details on 'How to get there','Places of interest around the Hotel' and 'Room types. These info are criterias for consideration besides pricing. Based on the transport info provided, we can decide whether take MRT there, or take cab. I like to choose those within 5~15  mins walking distance from MRT station as more convenient and cost effective. In fact taking cab in Taiwan is not expensive compared to Singapore and taxi drivers are quite friendly.

We went to Taipei - Taichung - Sun Moon Lake - Yangmingshan - Taipei. Therefore what I did is call the next hotel to check room vacancies/online check upon checked-in the current one  e.g. checked in at hotel in Taipei then call to book/online book hotels in Taichung . Due to we went to Taiwan during off-peak season so normally walk in will do for weekdays. But for weekend check in, do remember to book in advanced as good condition and 3 stars hotels are hard to get via walk in.

Another way to save money, is go to the hotel's website, take note on their Latest News/ Promotions as normally they will have some packages e.g. 2D1N, or 4D3N. We took these kind of packages for Taichung and Sun Moon Lake stays, very worth it and included dinners !

These are hotels/motels we stayed during this trip, for reference :

Taipei - 国宣大饭店

Taichung - Hotel One

Sun Moon Lake - 日月潭碧水山居

Yangmingshan - 陽明山中國麗緻大飯店

Taipei - 台北華麗飯店

Taiwan spent much efforts in promoting their tourism, therefore their official websites also very informative.
