From Taichung, there are 2 companies provide trips to Sun Moon Lake. I selected 仁友客运 because it will reach Sun Moom Lake directly, without transit. Bus stations for these two companies are quite near to each other, so don't mix up. We booked the whole van ! Ha ha, due to was a weekday plus non-peak season so no one else. The whole trip spent around 2 hours. Quite a long distance but would not feel sick as major roads along the journey were broad and mostly highways.

If I did not remember wrongly, only 2 trips per day to Sun Moon Lake provided by this company. So must check the schedule, don't miss the bus.

After a long journey, we had a break at 九族文化村. This is a well known place for its blossoming cherry. Heard that the profit from that blossoming season can cover the whole year expenses. Happend once that the flooded tourists caused the organizer to advise tourists not to visit anymore in order to control the crowd. Wah, first time I ever heard that the profit organization stopped tourists from visiting despite of earning money. However we did not visit this place as was very quiet inside and of course the pure reason was ~ not a blossoming season, not much attracted us.

Reached Sun Moon Lake ! We tried to ask for directions in tourist centre but you guess what, uncle there helped us to call our targeted hotel and asked them to come and fetch us ! Wah ! Looks like tourists are being well served here. Furthermore, they also highlighted if we don't like the hotel, we still can choose from others, no offence.

A motherly 民宿 owner came and fetched us. She explained on Sun Moon Lake in detailed. We decided to stay in this 民宿 because was not expensive, clean and neat.

Although is a family business style 民宿 but whatever you need in a standard 3 stars hotel all had been provided here. Guess what, we had FOC broadband network in our room. Heater, hair dryer, towels and even DIY bath tub.  Was first time I saw this very natural bath tub, feel like having shower in jungle ?! Ha ha.

A luxury view from our room's balcony ! Is facing moon lake. Sun Moon Lake was named by its combination of 2 lakes shaped like a circle and a crescent.

Full set of coffee and tea. A traditional business style but completed with all hotel standards. Impressing right ?

Why I said that the 民宿 owner is very motherly ? Because she even helped us to plan our itenaries! Due to our package included Sun Moon Lake boat tickets and dinner, and the aunty knew that we only stayed for 2D1N so she asked us to take the last boat trip of the day and then have dinner at a restaurant nearby which she provided dinner vouchers. She urged us to put our luggage in the room then quickly fetched us to the pier to take boat. She also guided us one round for those must go spots near the pier. Wah, so friendly ! Therefore we had a personal + FOC tour planner.

There are quite a lot of hotels/motels along the main street of Sun Moon Lake.

This one has a good view of Sun Lake so heard that is very expensive.
